Jimmy the Accomplished Graduate

I have one brother, Jay, who is in the Marines, and now another, Jimmy, who just earned his Associates of Arts degree. We went to watch him walk the other night, and I must say, I've never seen him quite so giddy and excited. It was fun. You could tell he was proud of his accomplishment... I was proud of him too. Here he is with his Mom and Dad (well, "our" Dad, technically).

Here's Charley, very pregnant me, my Dad, Jimmy, and my Step-mom, Deb.

Don't we just look like a happy bunch? Eden was happy too- either that, or royally freaked out by all the loud music and clapping cause she kicked me like crazy the *entire* night. Charley and I took Jimmy out to Chinese afterwards. I don't get to spend a lot of time with my brothers because of our busy lives, but when we do finally connect, it's always a sweet time. I really do have cool little brothers.

In other news, I'm jealous because my sister just got back from TX where she saw my Grandma, Aunt Dora, and cousin Bev. Jen, I forgot to tell you that (according to Grandma) after you guys met for lunch and they got back home, Bev was attacked and hurt pretty badly by 3 or 4 dogs. I guess she had to be rushed to the hospital for stitches and such, but she's apparently doing better now. Just fyi. MAN I hate mean dogs. and Texas. Well, I don't mind their politics or mindsets... or cowbows -not in a weird way either. But I very much dislike their weather, and how flat it is down there. Ok, now that I got that off my chest, I'll be signing off.

...wow I have pregnancy brain.

********edit and update**********

My sister's doing another Rosetta Stone contest, and since alls I ever wanted in life was to learn Latin, I'm entering it. You ought to enter as well; it's easy:
_______________________________________________________

Rosetta Stone is the fastest way to learn a language and has been the #1 foreign language curriculum among homeschoolers for a while — and you can WIN the *all new* version 3 Rosetta Stone Homeschool LATIN program… FOR FREE! This is the first year you can get Latin in the brand new Version III update.

This is a $259 program (and believe me it’s worth every penny!)
This is a computer based curriculum and Rosetta Stone will also include a headset with microphone, and a supplementary “Audio Companion” CD so you can practice lessons in the car, on the go, or where-ever! Students participate in life-like conversations and actually produce language to advance through the program. Rosetta Stone incorporates listening, reading, grammar, vocabulary and writing along with speaking and pronunciation lessons. For parents, the new Parent Administrative Tools are integrated into the program to allow parents to easily enroll up to ten students in any of 12 predetermined lesson plans, monitor student progress, grade completed work (the program grades the work automatically as the students progress- I love that!), and you can view and print reports for transcripts. Homeschooling a lot of kids at your house? This program is designed to enroll and track up to ten students (five users on two computers) and will work for nearly all ages — from beginning readers up to college students.

To win this most excellent Latin program copy these paragraphs and post them in (or as) your next blog post, and/OR link to the contest from your facebook page and/OR email the information to your homeschool support group – Then go to the original page http://Jeneralities.com and leave a comment saying that you’ve posted about, or have linked to, the contest. Please make sure the link works to get back to the original contest page when you post. And good luck!

Have a great day! :)

Ryann (your niece) looks just like your Dad. I always wondered who she looks like. She and Coie are sooo beautiful!

yes, she does look like my Dad, but even more like her uncle there, Jimmy. Whenever I'm around him, I'm dumbstruck with how much he and Ry look alike. They have the same nose.

Maria, I MISS YOU TOO! I totally think you and your hubby should take an AK cruise sometime around the middle of July. ;)

Hi Jess~~

I'm Leanne, and I've been following your blog since you found out you were pregnant, but I haven't ever left a comment, to my knowledge....

I saw your question about the Ergo on Melissa's (a familiar path) blog, and I have one and LOOOOOOVE IT!!!!

I have tried other carriers and hated them due to the way they stressed out my shoulders or put so much stress on the baby, but the Ergo does neither! There is no stress on your back, hips or shoulders, and no stress on the baby's buns or legs or whatever.

It is an expensive carrier, but you will never get rid of it, you will never need another carrier, it is so versatile and so well made...

If you have a chance and have the money I recommend it highly, along with the infant insert too....

By the way, I love your blog too!

Talk soon!

PS: I'm good friends with Emily and also read your sister's blog too!

still cracking up at that.

I haven't anything interesting to blog about... unless people want to see more pics of my bulging tummy and hear about those lovely midnight leg cramps.

... doubt it.

I'm off to go get some Kentucky fried Charley. ajsdf'kal;sdk'

I've added you to my sidebar, and I'm privileged if you add me to yours...

I figure, with Eden being your first baby and all, you will need some seasoned mothers to help you out...

I hope I can fill that role, along with your sister and some others, of course!

Thanks for your compliments on my family and my blog, they're a work in progress!!! LOL!

I'm looking forward to Eden's birth, it will be the most significant and happiest day of your life!

Take care!
